► the Game Changer Eclipse

All Lunar Eclipses are powerful Full Moons that are ‘course correctors’ and are meant to change your
life often in a way that is completely unexpected!!
   
This one - the 19 October lunar eclipse in Aries - is calling us to break new ground in our relationships with ourselves, each other -- and Life.  

It is a penumbral eclipse, which means the alignment is off enough that there is only a slight darkening of the edge of the Moon and yet it is enough to accelerate our intentions.

The degree of the Full Moon is 26 Aries - "a man possessed of more gifts than he can hold."  This energy brings deeply ingrained imprinting.  It's power is attested by the conjunction with Eris at 23 Aries and the reactivation of Uranus in Aries and its opposition to the New Moon on October 4.


This Full Moon phase is the fullest extension of energy present back at the New Moon.  New becomes Full.

 In order to receive more of the gifts of enlightenment the universe is designed to deliver with this Full Moon (i.e. "posess" more of them), we need to hold still.

This is wonderful except we have forces that stand to derail anything of this nature and in fact, desire to twist it inside out for their own purposes.  It's a stellar opportunity for imprinting the collective experience of life with negativity.

So we stand counter to that by holding still and holding space.  When we are stone cold still we expect the unexpected and are protected from it based on our stance.

A frosty energy accompanies this Full Moon/Penumbral Lunar Eclipse.  It holds the power to freeze us in our tracks.  But if we are already stone cold still, the frostiness will just move around us.

Possessing more gifts than one can hold means there is abundance.  While standing stone cold still, we see abundance.  We see the abundance of life.  This is our steely focus today.  Abundant opportunity and potential is visible.

The Reversed Wheel

The image of the ‘An Eagle and a Large White Dove’ are represented in many facets of our lives. Their symbols can be found in several religions, most notably Christianity and in heraldry and hermeticsm. They represent opposite sides of the same spectrum. The ‘Eagle’ is symbolic of strength, stamina and skyward flight. It is a bird of prey and can be seen as aggressive and domineering. It is also considered to be the king of the birds. Uranus is on Aries 10: A Teacher Gives New Symbolic Forms To Traditional Images. This is also a degree of stepping out of the box, rewriting the book and having a new take on situations. This is a wonderful degree of coming up with new solutions and new possibilities and it's a rather pioneering image. Uranus in Aries makes it even more of a groundbreaking energy and it is calling on us to see things in a different light. Rewiring and rewriting how we see life, ourselves or others can bring new dimensions of understanding and being.

The Caution: Rejecting old ideas because they are old instead of reforming them. Throwing things of worth out, without examining them.  Pluto is still on Capricorn 10 and it is square Uranus again, bringing up the feelings of the new overthrowing the old, issues to do with personal sovereignty versus the control wrought by big business and/or government over our lives. This square can show us butting up against the establishment, wanting to assert our individual needs in a time when we see our freedoms and liberties being drained away more and more along with our bank balances and opportunities.

It is already known in astrology that the solar eclipse, being the most potent of either type of eclipse, represents an end to a situation or finalisation of a matter. It forces one to clear away the deadwood, the rubbish which has cluttered one's life and is of no further value in the development of the individual. This, in itself, allows room for a new beginning to take place. It is quite obvious that the functions of the solar eclipse bear a remarkable association with the functioning of Pluto. This also applies to the situation around death: it is the end of one life cycle and the beginning of another.
